Lots of zeros this week 0-26, 0-68, 0-0 halftime.
The Whitewashes

There is a massive difference between the top teams and the not so top teams.
Who would have predicted the Roosters to hold the Raiders scoreless in Raider-ville?
The Roosters showed their class even if Capt. Tedddy had a quieter game. The Raiders looked busy but reminded me of a cartoon character running on the spot. Lots of leg action for not a lot of momentum.
The Raiders look lost but not as lost as the Wests Tigers who were thumped 68-0 by former premiers(x4) Panthers.
The Panthers put on a masterclass while the Wests Tigers looked terrified (according to other media reports). The Wests Tigers were ther own worst enemies turning over the ball and giving the Panthers every opportunity to score.
I guess the Panthers blow out score was going to happen at some point this season. Just glad it wasn’t against my team.
Premiers Gone?

The reigning premiers(x1) Broncos have slumped to five consecutive losses. In the past two weeks, the Broncos have lost to the bottom two teams in the competition. Not even their black jerseys were enough this week as more short cuts invited the Titans back into the game. The Broncs held a one-point lead until a piece of Keano Kini magic took the game away in the final minutes.
Much like the Dragons last week, the Titans deserved the win leading for most of the game.
The reaction up north has been interesting with Bronco hater Gordon Tallis questioning Coach Maguire’s tenure after a poor showing this season stating any coach could have won the premiership with that team last year.
Except it wasn’t any coach. Maguire took the Broncos where no coach since Wayne Bennett did 19 years ago.
It’s hard to win back to back. The Roosters were the first since the Broncos in 1992-93 and the Panthers have probably made back to back the norm with their four premierships.
Bagging a NSW born coach… it must be Origin time.
In Other Games

The Storm held off the Knights to win yet again
The ‘Phins showed their class and why experts are expecting big things from them this season. The Cows were very disappointing
The Dragons played one half of football before allowing the Sharks to run in five 2nd half tries to nil.
The Bulldogs and Eels went into the dressing rooms 0-0 at halftime. If there ever was a game destined for a draw it was this one. Until Doggie Matt Burton stayed down for a late penalty. Sit boy. Now play dead. Good boy.

The Standout
86% correct this week.
It was another bad week to pick the Broncos.
And who would tip the Rabbitohs or Raiders as Standout? Two crazy/die hard Tipsters that’s who.
Main Competition
The top five remain unchanged. It goes to show how conservative (read boring/predictable) they were this week. Big Moose takes the $30 prize with UpthePamfers dropping down to nineth.
Bart Simpson Weekly Jackpot

Shagger was the last tipster standing and needed the Eels to win. So close.
The Bart Simpson Weekly Jackpot now sits at B$70.
As always, good luck with your team and tipping.
