Footy Tipper 2026 – Round 20 Wrap

The Broncos are back, for this week. While the Titans and Dolphins continue with Queensland’s dominance for Round 20.

Broncos Winners

The winning pass from none other the Reece Walsh.

What a difference when a team has all their missing players return at the same time. This Broncos team resembled the Premiers of last year.

And in keeping with last year’s performance, the Broncos beat a full-strength Panthers team, and current premiership favourites, in the process. It was eerily similar with the Panthers not scoring a single point in the second half after leading 12-8 at the break.

All the Broncos turned up to play with Reece Walsh at his electric (and somewhat demanding) best.

But is this a case of too little too late? Coach Maguire was brought in as coach on a three-year plan to win the premiership. Take away he did this in his 1st year, and the injury toll this year, if the Broncos don’t feature in September, they will definitely give their fans something to cheer about next season.

The Battle of The Spoon

That winning forward pass.

The Dragons were once again on the wrong end of a referee decision that cruelled their chance of winning. This week, the Wah’s were gifted a try off a blatant forward pass. The technology to rule on this is available, but the NRL are reluctant to trial it out.

But if the loss was bad news for the Dragons, things would become worse when the Titans finished all over the Sea Eagles after Manly had scored the opening two tries.

All too late for Sea Eagles and Dragons fans.

This Dragon fan was counting on the Sea Eagles so this week’s blockbuster match against the Titans at Kogarah could have seen the Mighty Red V just two points behind second last.

If there is one consolation, Manly look more likely to miss the finals every week. Let’s just not talk about poor Tommy Turbo. Unfortunately, it’s another stint on the sideline for him.

In Other Games

The Roosters took forever to put away the Storm continually inviting them back into the game. This despite the Storm missing their starting halves and mounting injury toll during the game.

The Raiders once again let a big lead slip but were still too good against the Bunnies.

The Sharks won in an entertaining match against the Knights

The Wests Tigers promising season just gets worse failing to score against the Bulldogs.

The Phin’s were too strong against the fast-starting Cows. Both teams will feature in the finals.

Main Competition

Not much changed at the top of the ladder with Bart Simpson, The Creator and MR. TAYLOR locking down the main prizes. UpthePamfers, Runner and murch round out the remaining three spots.

Second Competition

Westy has hit the lead over UpthePamfers and BillyB.

But who will it be next week? To win this competition you need to finish the final seven weeks the strongest.

Bart Simpson Weekly Jackpot

MLC was the last Tipster standing being one of only two to pick the Broncos.

Only to be let down by the Bunnies.

Which means the Bart Simpson Weekly Jackpot continues to break season high records with B$130 up for grabs.

Seven weeks to go Tipsters! Is it time to make your move?

As always, good luck with your team and tipping.
