Footy Tipper 2025 – Round 19 Wrap

Round 19 is the final Origin impacted round and we are now in the home straight. If you picked all favourites this week you would be very pleased with the results.

The top six teams all scored two competition points this week but here are my highlights.

Battle of the Ocean

One more try on the stroke of fulltime.

The round started at Shark Park (Stadium) with the battle for sea domination with the inform Dolphins taking on the Sharks.

This was all one sided with the Sharks easily dominating the ‘Phins until the final 20 minutes.

Back-to-back tries in the 67th and 70th minutes saw the lead cut back to just a penalty goal before the ‘Phins butchered a certain try under the post that would have given them the lead.

The Sharks ran away with in the final minutes

The Non ANZAC Day Game

A big crowd at Kogarah almost as big as the moon.

Saturday, we crossed the bridge out of the Shire to Kogarah where the Dragons took on the Roosters in front of a big crowd and full moon.

The full moon must have had a defensive pull on the teams with five converted tries (i.e. 30 points) scored in the opening 15 minutes.

The second half was a far tighter match and with the Dragons looking down the barrel of another one-point field goal loss (ironically kicked in the first half) before Victor Radley scored in the final two minutes.

Another disappointing result for Dragons fans.

Cows v Dogs

The match winner in defence. Kikau knocking the ball out of Drinky’s hand.

In some games, there are fans (not me) who sometimes turn off the TV at halftime having seen enough.

Well in this game you could have with the Bulldogs 12-8 halftime lead remaining unchanged at the fulltime whistle.

The second half was still entertaining being in the balance until the final play of the match

The Standout

It was a great week for most Tipsters.

Standouts for 49 Tipsters were correct with only isha68 and Timbo missing out this week.

Add to this, 16 of the 49 Tipsters all scored perfect rounds.

Main Competition

No change with our leaders gdadisho, C.Y.L.C. and Wiley C remaining unchanged and with our top two leaders now holding handy five and four point breaks with the competition.

Perfect rounds to Runner, Bart Simpson and murch take out the remaining prizes with Magnum holding the fort in 10th place.

Second Competition

There is always a risk showing prize money in the Second Competition at the start and the ladder looks like a compete shemozzle with 13 Tipsters sharing the three prizes.

Even the Tipsheet isn’t equipped to display $ signs that far down.

Trust me, this won’t stay like this for very long.

MR. TAYLOR and Pablo share 1st and 2nd prizes with 11 Tipsters sharing 3rd place.

Bart Simpson Weekly Jackpot

Sixteen Tipsters with perfect rounds means only one thing.

The Bart Simpson Weekly Jackpot now stands at B$20.

As always, good luck with your team and tipping this week.
