So with one round to go in the regular season, the finals are yet to be locked in with the Raiders and Broncos to fight it out for the final spot in the top eight.
The Broncos massive loss to the Eels (53 – 6) put a huge dent in their chances in 2022. Ricky’s Raiders had a huge win over Stinky Manly (48 – 6). Those two results now see both teams locked on 28 competition points, but after for/against the Raiders now enjoy a 46 point differential lead. Round 25 has the Raiders facing the Tigers (who capitulated against the Dragons last weekend losing a game they should have won 24 – 22), while the Broncos face the Dragons. The Raiders will get into the 8 but it wont matter, because they will likely face (and lose to) the Roosters in week 1 of the finals.
The Panthers are the only team locked in to their ladder position and will finish the regular season in top spot. The other six teams in the Sharks, Cowboys, Storm, Eels, Roosters and Rabbitohs need to win and hope other results go their way to finish as high on the ladder as possible.
The Sharks should finish in 2nd place.
Three matches could well determine how our competition ladder finishes up. The match of the round will be the Storm (4) vs Eels (5) match – a battle for a top 4 spot !! We also see the Panthers (1) playing the Cows (3). And we have the Roosters (6) vs Rabbitohs (7). The way I see it, all 3 games could go either way. Who will our leaders pick this week ? Will they play it safe and follow Sportsbet or follow their gut ? All will be revealed next Monday !!

Main Competition
Scores of 9 dominated the top of the ladder, and the only change in our top 8 was that murch yielded 6 differential points to the field. So we still have murch from Panthers29 then Admireel and Turbohamstrings at the top.
The big mover was Caline who scored 12 and moves up 7 places and into 9th spot (only one game out of the money).
Second (Chance) Competition
StuartS has taken the lead from Robert Cook and has an almost unassailable 35 point gap. (Robert fell victim to Thursday nights massacre at Suncorp). Only 3 points behind Cookie is Bridie who also has a slender 3 point lead from Carlos in 4th spot. With the draw this coming weekend, anything can happen here.
