Tippers were again left scratching their heads with a couple of the results this weekend, but fortunately almost everyone else in the comp went down with them.

While the Panthers (8 from 8) and Storm (7 from 8) continued on their winning ways, the next 9 teams on the ladder battle for a top 8 spot ! Four of those teams currently in the top 8 – Sharks, Eels, Roosters and Sea Eagles – ALL had surprise losses on the weekend. The Broncos upsetting the Sharks, the Cowboys slaughtering the Eels, the Dogs holding out the Roosters (in a tight one) and the Rabbits pipping a 12 man Manly side.

The Broncos, Dragons and Warriors (in 9^th through 11^th spots) keep their respective fans interested (and top 8 hopes alive) with strong wins. They are all now on 8 points at 4 from 4.

Being 8 rounds in, you would expect to see a little more consistency with the teams, but alas, tipping wasn’t meant to be easy. Pity we cant see any consistency with the refereeing too. I’m also becoming increasingly frustrated with the constant interjections from the Bunker, with a lot of their calls proving to be wrong.

Main Competition

Murch has usurped  Turbohamstrings for the lead by 1 game. Krusty continues to show good form with a strong 7 and now moves up to 3^rd place. Craig Youngs Love Child hangs on to 4^th spot.

At the 1/3 point of the comp, the good news is that there are 12 players are within 7 points of the lead. We then have 14 players within 3 matches of winning there $30 back. Keep putting your tips in !!
