Cut-off Times for this week…
Thursday 16th July 2020 – Roosters vs Raiders 7:50pm AEST. Tips will not be accepted after this time.
No surprises –
- The Roosters did it easily over the Cowboys 42 – 16
- Dane Gagai picked up a hattrick to help Souths to a 18 – 10 win over the Tigers
- The Panthers had a 56 – 24 victory over the Sharks. Defence wasn’t an issue in this one – 80 points in 80 minutes – 14 tries
- The Broncos recorded their first win since 20 March over the wooden spoon favourites the Bulldogs 26 – 8.
- The Storm won in a gruelling match against the Raiders 20 – 14. The win sees them looking good in 3rd place. The Raiders slump to 7th and have a few injury concerns going into the second half of the season.
- The Eels continue to dominate the comp with a dour (scrappy) 10 – 4 win over the Knights. But what was Stefano Utoikamanu thinking? What world is he living on? Debutant or not, social distancing is here, a bubble is a bubble, and rules are rules. He put our game in a very difficult position. Let’s see what happens.
The Big Upsets (for tippers).
- The “unfavoured” Titans, down 12 – 0 after 8 minutes, came back to have a gutsy win over the poor old Warriors 16 – 12. The win cemented with a 74th minute try to Beau Fermor. Only 23 punters saw that one coming. Personally I thought that game was a toss of the coin – both teams know how to lose.
- Sea Eagles fans will attempt to find excuses for their humiliating (embarrassing, shameful, humbling, crushing, devastating) loss to the Dragons 34 – 4. “Our shorts were too tight, the grass was too long, the crowd was too loud, a dog ate our play book……”. No excuses in that game (and don’t pull the injury list out) – they were outclassed. Only 21 punters thought that the Dragons would prevail (I wasn’t one of them Adel).
The Standout
68 – got it right.
5 – got it wrong.
The average score – 7.3

Yeah yeah Pablo enjoy your day in the sun but we will still be playing come October unlike your mob
You’re up early ? Worried about the write up maybe ? It’s gotta be a worry having St George roll your mob like that. October is a long way away yet.
Yes I was expecting some comments from you and you are right October is a long way away which means that by then Turbo Tom will be back and watch out…
