Close matches, lots of awesome tries for Try July, and we have a winner.
Playing the 80 Minutes

I have mentioned many times how the Broncos are a very inconsistent team and the match against the Bulldogs showed they just needed to play for twenty minutes.
There were a handful of Tipsters (yours truly included) that tipped the Broncos and changed to the Bulldogs later in the week. And at 18-nil with only twenty minutes remaining, I was feeling pretty good about ditching the horsies.
Two tries in five minutes and I could see the foley of my ways.
You never change your tips.
The Broncos had all the momentum scoring four times. They, in fact, needed just 15 minutes to wrap the game up.

Whereas in the nation’s capital, the Raiders again showed a second half fade to invite the Dragons back into the match scoring three times in the final 25 minutes. Had it not been for Kaeo Weekes scoring a hattrick (including one just before halftime) it could have been a very different story.
Wests Tigers Win

And this theme continued with the Wests Tigers almost gifting the Roosters a victory leading 28-10 with 25 minutes to go. The Chooks amassed three converted tries and fell short by a 78-minute penalty.
The Roosters actually scored more tries but again ill-discipline cost them conceding three penalty goals.
Alot of the Fox commentary in the game was about the brave Tigers winning against the odds minus many of their stars. Conveniently forgetting the Roosters have provided five players to Origin throughout the series. The fact they managed to win two of these games should be applauded.
In Other Games

- The Strom held off the Cowboys in an entertaining game up north. Stormer Nick Meaney had a blinder on the field and with his post try celebrations.
- Manly won.

The Standout
Well, it sucked tipping the Roosters as Standout as 17 unfortunate Tipsters found out.
The rest were, lucky, I guess.
Main Competition
No change with our leaders gdadisho and C.Y.L.C. while Wiley C and Rossco the Pom swap places.
But look at the sea of green on the ladder with Panthers29 and The Creator rounding off the prize money.
We also welcome murch into the all-important top 10 gatekeeper role for this round.
Second Competition
The Second Competition has kicked off and every Tipster who picked the Broncos is amongst the prizes.
But look who is leading. blakey94. Who you say?

blakey94 has the broadest shoulders of all Tipsters carrying everybody’s tipping hopes and aspirations from the bottom of the ladder.
blakey94 is the outright 2nd Comp leader because he was the only Tipster to have tipped both the Broncos and Wests Tigers.
Which can only mean one thing.
Bart Simpson Weekly Jackpot

Congratulations blakey94 for being our 3rd prize winner of 2025 taking out a massive B$150.
When asked for a quote, he had this to say:
Even a broken tipster is right once a season.
blakey94
And here I was hoping he’d paraphrase Iron Mike Tyson with:
“How dare they (Tipsters) challenge me with such primitive skills. It makes me angry”.
For the rest of us, sigh, the Bart Simpson Weekly Jackpot now stands at B$10.
In case you missed it above, please keep an eye out for our Origin III previews and match report this week.
As always, good luck with your team and tipping this week.
