Round 17 Preview and Tips

We are back to eight games this week and what a fascinating round.

The Big Hitters

This round has a lot of big matches bookended by lesser ones.

The Broncos v Roosters will be one to watch. It’s time for the defending premiers(x1) to standup at home. Surely, they are overdue, but they face a red-hot Roosters team.

Phin’s v Wah’s. Two teams that can score from anywhere. The Phin’s rested four Origin players last week and won convincingly as if to make a statement to the rest of the competition (except Penrith of course). While the Wah’s where equally as impressive last round.

This is match of the round material.

Then we have the Cowboys hosting the Panthers. The Cows are so inconsistent while the Panthers welcome back rested Origin stars Yeo, To’o and Cleary. This could get messy.

The final big match is the Sea Eagles v Storm at the Battle of Brookie revisited. Well, except more like handbags than punching bags.

It’s Fozball v Bellyache-ball.

Too Close to Call

The toughest match this round is the Titans v Bulldogs. I don’t rate either team, yet they keep winning.

The Bulldogs have won their last two matches scoring 14 and 12 points.

The Titans can score more than that so that’s where I’m going.

In The Other Games

The Rabbits should be too strong for the Eels, but I still give them a chance. Unlike the next two games.

It’s Spoon-bowl Edition 1, when the Raiders take on the Dragons. I can only see the green machine winning here. While the Knights will have little trouble against the Wests Tigers despite struggling to beat last placed Dragons a week ago.
