Round 8 is ANZAC Round. What has The Creator selected this week?
The pinnacle of ANZAC Round is the Dragons v Roosters game which I think picks itself even with the Dragons change of coach.
I think most games are either a toss of the coin or very obvious but being ANZAC Round you can never tell which team might lift more.
The Coin Tosses
The round starts off at a packed Leichhardt Oval where the (Inner)Wests Tigers take on the Raiders.
The Tiges were super impressive last start at Leichhardt and came close to beating the injury ravaged Broncos last week. The Raiders have been inconsistent but are looking at a hattrick of wins this week.
This is going to be a lot closer than the bookmakers are predicting.

The injury ravaged Broncos take on a Bulldogs team bolstered by the probable return of captain Stephen Crichton.
The Doggies were back to their disappointing worst last week after beating the Panthers the week before that.
I think the Broncos have more than 20 points in them which is more than enough to beat the Bulldogs.

The other coin toss is between the Cowboys and Shark. I am not even going to sugarcoat this one. I really couldn’t care less. For that reason, I am picking…

The Remaining Games
- You would think the Wah’s will be too strong against the Dolphins in Wellington NZ.
- The Storm at home need to break their five week losing streak against a Rabbitohs team that has never won in Melbourne.
- It will be a packed McDonald Jones Stadium when the Knights host competition favourites the Panthers. This will be a fantastic game but it’s hard not to tip the Panthers here.
- The final match is the Sea Eagles at home against the Eels. Manly are looking for their 1st win at Brookvale from four attempts while the Eels come off a massive win against the Doggies. The Eels are still minus plenty of talent while the Sea Eagles have now won three games in a row. I think the Eels scored all their points last week and the Manly team owe their fans bigtime at home.
