Another round of great games coming up. So, what have I picked this week?
Thursday Night Football
The round starts with a great game between the Cowboys and Sea Eagles.
The Cows are looking at five straight victories which includes the prized scalps of the Storm and Broncos. While the Sea Eagles are looking at three straight under the tutorage of interim Coach Foz.
Manly were great two weeks ago but ordinary in their last win against the Dragons and I think their new coach spike bump is over.
Winner – Cowboys
Friday Night Football
It’s down to Canberra for the Raiders v Storm. Both teams have tumbled from the dizzying heights of last season. Both teams will be desperate to win. This game will be a cracker to watch and one I struggled to pick.
In the end I went ye old faithful.
Winner – Storm
The second game is the Dolphin up against last week’s shock loser, the former premiers(x4), Panthers.
I really cannot see the Panthers losing back-to-back and will control the game.
Winner – Panthers [Standout]
Super Saturday
Super Saturday starts across the ditch with the Wah’s v Titans.
The Wah’s are traveling well and are sitting 2nd position (if you take away the 2 points for byes) and play the Titans who have won twice.
The Titans come off an absolute thrashing of the Eels but unless the Warriors clock off, they don’t stand a chance here.
Winner – Warriors
Then we head to Accor Stadium to watch the Bunnies v the Dragons.
There is not much more I can say about the Dragons. The Rabbitohs are missing Jye Gray and David Fafita with former maligned Dragon Matt Dufty called up to fullback.
This could be the last chance for the Dragons players to show up for the coach.
I almost made this my Standout.
Winner – Rabbitohs
The final match of Super Saturday is truly worthy of the name.
The high-flying Wests Tigers are up against the injury plagued Premiers(x1) Broncos at a sellout Campbelltown Stadium.
This game will be a high scoring and attacking focused game and easily the match of the round. This is also a tough one to pick.
The Wests Tigers start favourites and are trying to beat the Broncos for the first time at Campbelltown. I predict this one to be a rollercoaster ride.
Winner – Wests Tigers
Sunday Football
Not much to say with the next two games. The Roosters and Knights are both unpredictable while the Eels v Dogs sees the worse defence v the 2nd worse attack. But the Dogs will be way to strong here.
Winners – Roosters, Bulldogs
