Well, that was a leveller of a round. What looked to be a sure thing was anything but that.
Tipping is hard enough as it is without the form guide being thrown out the window.
The unbeaten Wahs looked unbeatable until the depleted Wests Tigers crossed the ditch into Warrior land. Only tipster isha68 foresaw this. While isha68 (again) and MLC were the only ones to tip the Cowboys over the Storm.
Nobody gave the Knights any chance to beat the Bulldogs.
It just takes one win to change your Clubs fortunes with most now sitting on 2 wins and 2 losses.
The Cowboys that were languishing winless are now one win outside the Top 8 relieving the pressure on Coach Todd Payten which unfortunately didn’t eventuate for his Manly counterpart.
Siebs, DCE, 4 Pines

Manly slumped to their 3rd straight defeat all at their fortress home at 4 Pines Park. The result was immediate with the sacking of Sea Eagles coach Anthony Seibold. And while most journalist talk about the shock of the decision, I was not surprised given the language used by Seibs in the press conference.
I will have more to say on this in a separate article.
The Roosters were too good despite the Sea Eagles scoring a long range try on the 2nd play of the game. My highlight had to be the crowd’s reaction every time DCE touched the ball. The only one surprised about the booing was DCE himself.
Panthers Keep Winning

The former Premiers(x4) are the only undefeated team in the competition and don’t look like dropping a game anytime soon. The Panthers look mean spirited after falling short in last year’s preliminary final. Had they not taken the foot off the throttle, the Eels would have been staring down at another 50+ point loss for this season.
The Panthers scored 48 points while the Storm scored 52 in round 1.
The Panthers take on the Storm this week.
Wests Tigers Roar

The Wests Tigers were behind on every stat possible just before halftime trailing the unbeaten Warriors 10-nil before crossing the line three times to take a halftime advantage of 10-16.
And the Tiges never looked back. Jock Madden in his first game back at Tiger Town was fantastic and Adam Doueihi had his best game in Tigers colours. With Jarome Luai still out for a few more weeks, these are the halves to make or break the Tigers season. The Tigers narrow loss to the Rabbitohs is all the stopped them from an unbeaten start to the season.
They sit 3rd on the ladder and will take on the Eels on Easter Monday.
Titans Win

The Titans ran away winners to notch their 1st win under new coach Josh Hanney.
This game was ugly. The Dragons had all the ball and territory, but the Titans still looked more likely to score after their 1st from an interception.
Take nothing away from the Titans. They were terrible. Errors, offside penalties, forward passes two tries disallowed. But they still showed they had more in the tank in attack than their opposition.
21 points is all a team needs to beat the Dragons over the last couple seasons. The Dragons don’t have more than three tries in them but have home games against the Cowboys and Sea Eagles over the next two weeks.
They will want to win both of these games or their season and Coach Flanagan tenure will be over.

Unless, of course, you were that one Tipster who decided not to put one in.
Main Competition
New week and we have a new leader, again.
Welcome PNG’s own, Chunka to the top of the ladder.
Here’s hoping you can hold on for one more week.
