Another fantastic round. The heavyweights played, GF replay and more. And now add our 1st Standout apocalypse.
Panthers Are Favourites

Who can stop the Panthers?
Those who stated the Panthers dynasty was over have not realised the chip they have on their shoulder.
They look sharper than ever at this point of the season.
Holding the defending premiers Broncos to nil, conceding just 6 points against the Sharks and thrashing the Roosters, the Panthers face the speed bump called the Eels before taking on the Storm and Dogs to reinforce their premiership favouritism…
Except, they are 2nd on the ladder
The Warriors Lead The Competition.

How good are those Warriors going? Big wins against the Roosters, Raiders and the (previously undefeated) Knights, they look the goods this year.
Take into account Broncos bound Mitch Barnett’s successful return from injury, the form of Tanah Boyd, James Fisher-Harris and Jackson Ford up front, the Wah’s already look the real deal.
Now add Luke Metcalf to the mix.
Raiders v Bulldogs

This round started with the Raiders v Bulldogs in atrocious conditions in Canberra.
This was always a tough encounter, with tough teams in tough conditions. And what a game we witnessed.
Defence from both teams, especially the Raiders, set the scene with the Bulldogs ultimately winning on penalty goals.
The toughest people were definitely the fans in pouring rain and in 2C degrees temperature.
Grand Final Replay

This was my 1st match to watch live this season. 1st time @ AAMI Park and what a great ground!
What a great game!
Commentators/Fans talk about a grand final replay as an opportunity for revenge. What we saw was literally a grand final replay.
The Storm dominated the 1st half leading 14-nil, the Broncos scoring 18 unanswered points to take the lead.
The Broncos replicated the GF 2nd half by tackling themselves to a standstill to win, including bundling a Storm winger into touch.
Are the Broncos back? They have a big game next week against the Dolphins.
Sharks v Dolphins

Speaking of which, in the battle of the Ocean, the Dolphins showed they are a team to watch with a comprehensive win over the Sharks.
The ‘Phins only loss was against the Rabbitohs in Round 1 where they still posted 30 points.
Rabbitohs Win

Another segway.
What a great game to watch the Rabbitohs against the Wests Tigers. Another highlight for the weekend.
Defence wins matches and the Rabbitohs were outstanding. As brave as the Tiges were, they will lose Jerome Luai and Adam Doueihi for 4-6+ weeks with injuries.
So much for the Wests Tigers strong start last week. Their season is all but over.
In Other Games

- The Eels were too strong against the Dragons which sets up a Round 4 Spoon Bowl against the Titans…
- … who were soundly beaten by the Cowboys who notched up their 1st win of the season.
Only the Sea Eagles, Dragons and Titans are yet to win a game this season.
