A golden try. The heavyweights all weigh in. Milestone matches and more changes to our ladder leaders.
The Panthers and Broncos joined the top four teams, Bulldogs, Raiders, Warriors and Storm with impressive wins this round. And didn’t the 60,000 Bulldogs fans enjoy Lachlan Galvin’s arrival and debut try. This kid couldn’t stop smiling.
The Milestone Men

The Adam Reynolds led Broncos ran out easy victors over cellar dwellers the Titans in his 300th NRL appearance. The match also marked the first time Reece Walsh and Ezra Mam have combined this season. Reece was a bundle of energy, and the result showed why many (including myself) picked them as premiership favourites. The only missing piece is Ben Hunt to return into hooker and if there is a place for Cobbo.
How good were those black Broncos jerseys? What a fantastic initiative between the Club, the Black Dog Institute and Sponsors to promote mental health awareness. Hopefully we will see these jerseys again soon.

Congratulations to Big Papa, Josh Papalii, on becoming the most capped Raider and scoring a try double and a conversion in his 319th appearance. And how good was it to watch coach Ricky Stuart’s reactions. He always wears his heart on his sleeve, and this is why the players and fans love him.
Golden Try

What an amazing comeback by the Knights. Trailing by three tries to take the game to Golden Point and winning it with a Kaylan Ponga try.
Golden Point should be Golden Try. It’s always refreshing to see a team win without turning the match into a field goal kick-athon.
Sea Eagles players and both their supporters will rue this loss. They looked like world beaters in the first half. Oh well, it’s only Manly.
The Red Pen Returns for the Red V

The Dragons can start planning their Las Vegas 2026 opening game now. The 56-6 loss to the Dolphins means their premiership chances(?) have ended.
The ‘Phins on the other hand have now scored 100 points in the last two matches including a 44-8 thrashing of the Bulldogs last round.
They join fellow Queensland teams, the Cowboys and Broncos in the top eight.

Rossco the Pom has reclaimed the lead with Wiley C also leapfrogging our previous Ladder Leader C.Y.L.C. by a single differential point.
Will C.Y.L.C. join our previous Ladder Leader, Robert Cook, into FT25 obscurity (apologies Bob)? Let’s see.
Second Competition
Coming soon. Starts from Round 18.
Bart Simpson Weekly Jackpot

The round started with the biggest upset of the weekend which was the catalyst of the Bart Simpson Weekly Jackpot jumping to B$120.
Please remember your Origin heroes will be missing this round when you make your selections.
As always, good luck with your team and tipping this week.
