Footy Tipper – Round 14 Wrap

I hope everyone enjoyed the King’s birthday long weekend.

I spent a lot of time with my better half, family and friends. Which coincidently are all Tipsters.

King’s Birthday… We might have to ask Tipster Bart Simpson what it was like last time we had one.

I am going to keep this report short, as there is a rant and a return of a fan favourite series in the offering.

Queensland Crumble

Queensland might have won the Origin battle this week in both the Men’s and Women’s Origin series, but the karma gods had other thoughts during the weekend.

Titans, Cowboys and Broncos all went down in spectacular style with blow out scores. All were playing at home. All on Super Saturday. All sliding further down the NRL ladder.

  • The Titans have been battling to leave the dreaded wooden spoon with the Bunnies or Tigers.
  • I have already rightfully called out the Cowboys as imposters. They were smashed by the other imposter team from across the ditch.
  • Bronco’s fans should be worried, with back-to-back loses and they are up against the resurgent Rabbitohs next week.

In Other Games

  • The Dragons smashed the Wests Tigers after trailing at halftime. Seriously, the Tigers are a one man team. Api Koroisau must have the broadest shoulders in the competition continually carrying this rabble. The Dragons Origin trio were sensational backing up two days after Game 1.
  • The Storm and Panthers continue to show why they are favourites with the bookies.
  • The Bulldogs came back late in the match against the Eels when Parra seemed to have it won 18-10. The Doggies remain in the top eight and in semi-finals contention.
