Wrap Footy Tipper 2023 – Round 27: The Winners

Two things are certain in the NRL. The Panthers are minor premiers and the Wests Tigers are wooden spooners. It is Déjà vu all over again.

The actual round ended as a bit of a fizzer. When the Panthers trounced the Cowboys there was no cliff hanger at Shark Park. In the end the only thing that changed was the Roosters knocking out the Rabbitohs. Oh, Latrell and Cody, what did you do?

The Panthers will be hard to beat again this finals series. Their mentality is arrogant different. Where the Broncos, Storm and Warriors all rested players, the Panthers went full strength.

For the Tiges, back to back wooden spoons means they can now play castanets.

Rookie coach, no Luke Brookes, no halfbacks for that matter. But that’s ok Tigers fans, the Dragons will still start next year as spoon favourites, again (cough).

But I digress, I already know no one is reading this and has scrolled down to see if they won the Weekly Jackpot.

The Winners

Weekly Jackpot

We had three bright Tipsters who managed a full card. Congratulations Big Baba, I miss Benji and Chunka. Which means the $140 jackpot went to a random draw. Thanks to our Queensland correspondent, Shagger, for selecting the random number.

Congratulations Big Moose who is the lucky recipient. Just enough to buy a new Dragons jersey.

Thanks And Farewell

On behalf of Pablo and myself, we want to thank everyone for participating in our unique competition. For all those who managed multiple incorrect standouts, there is one person here to blame and it’s not me.

A big shout out to Paul (Pablo) for writing the bulk of our posts this season. I definitely owe you a couple beers.

Congratulations to all our winners. I will contact you over the next couple days.

To all those with teams to cheer on in the finals, good luck to your team. Unless it’s the Panthers, or Storm, or Sharkies.

Enjoy your summer, I have been looking forward to the Big Bash since May, and we will see you all in 2024.

    Rob and Loomsie,

Congratulations to all the winners and thank you both for running a great and most enjoyable competition although I am sure I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I was any better in picking winners but…..I will try again next year so until then be good and enjoy the off season.

    Cheers,
    Adel
