Well, there is always one game that will upset the apple cart. The Sharks bounced back from last week’s debacle against the Panthers (28 – nil) to beat the Bunnies in Perth 26 – 16. They led by as much as 24 – nil at one stage. Tippers clearly favoured the Rabbits to take the points (52 to 5). We had 18 tippers get 7/8 matches this week, and the Sharkies win was the main cause of our jackpot remaining in tact.
Yesterday’s games – Parra vs Saints and Canberra vs Wests both could have gone either way too. Teams 16 and 17 almost pulled of miraculous victories (like they might be playing for contracts next season) ;.
Parramatta mowed down the Dragons in the 2nd half to keep their finals hopes alive (26-20). They now sit in 9th after for/against from 8th placed Souths.
The Raiders, sniffing out a top 4 spot, almost fell victim to the humiliation of being beaten by the Tigers (22-18). A late comeback from the Tigers had Ricky a little on edge (as the cover photo will attest).
Stinky Manly’s loss to the Roosters (26-16) may have cost them their hopes finals dreams. Both teams are now languishing probably one extra win outside the top 8.

Big Baba still has a 3 point lead from the ZipZipMan – both punters scoring the round high of 9. I miss Benji is now in outright 3rd one point in arrears of 2nd place. PabloW keeps making his way up the leaderboard. This week up 2 places into 4th (on points differential) with a logjam of punters (well 4 anyway) all on 143 points.
2nd Chance Competition
It’s still Stallion from 9986 and I Miss Benji in 3rd. I reckon anyone in the top 7 could still take this one. Cruella who sits in 7th spot is a mere 12 points out of the money.
