The Australians retain the Ashes with a rained out draw in the 4th Test at Old Trafford. The Matildas win their opening group match against the Irish 1 – nil.
Yes, that’s how much Rugby League I saw this week. But at this end of the season (particularly as a St George fan) it’s not about the Finals due in about 7 weeks, it’s about the tipping – and this weekend wasn’t great for tippers.
The stats are all detailed below, but wins to top 8 aspirants – the Knights and Sea Eagles, keep them well and truly in the hunt for finals footy.
The Knights overcame a 12 – 0 deficit to outclass the highly rated Storm 26 – 18. The sinbinning of Tariq Sims (traitor) 5 minutes before halftime marked the start of the collapse of the Storm. 5 tippers actually got this one right !
Hate them or really hate them, Manly deserved their win over the Sharks (30 – 26). A spirited late comeback from Cronulla wasn’t good enough to get over the Silvertails Pointsbet Shark Park.
I know there were other great matched the week ; Warriors/Raiders, Souths/Broncos, Titans/Chooks, but I didn’t watch them…. So here are all the results from round 21 ;
Main Competition
With 6 rounds to go, Big Baba has taken a 2 point lead of the comp with an impressive round high of 8 (coming off a full card last week!). I miss Benji and TheZipZipMan (both with 6 points) hold down 2nd and 3rd places.
Guru2810 (up 1 place) and UpthePamfers (up 3 places) are in 4th and 5th spots only 5 behind the leader.
Is it time to start throwing in a few roughies ?
2nd Chance Competition
Stallion has bolted from the pack (up 5 places) with a round high of 223 points and now leads the Comp. I miss Benji has been relegated to 2nd place and 9986 sits in the $30 spot.
The Standout
- Standouts correct – 54
- Standouts wrong – 4 (all on the Storm)
- The average score – 6.47
- Our round high – 8
- Our round low was – 1
Footy Tipper Weekly Jackpot
The two upsets ensured that our jackpot remains for another week. We are now up to $90 for round 22.
Good luck with your tips this week.
