I must say, that as a collective, we are terrible tippers. Or could that be explained by some of the results we are seeing ? It seems that every week there are results that very few of us saw coming. We had three great examples last weekend.
What a game ……. !! The Warriors comeback from 20 points down to the Sharks (20 – 0 in the 20th minute) is a good example. They were toast until a flurry of tries early in the 2nd half got them right back into the contest. Scores tied 30 – 30 with 10 minutes to play – frantic end to end footy, sinbins, penalties, torrential rain, contentious decisions. It came down to a penalty shoot-out. Johnson with 30 seconds of play left, nailed his attempt, while Nicco (after the buzzer) missed his. It was the Warriors in an unlikely 32 – 30 win. Tippers overwhelmingly had the Sharks as favourites to the tune of 55 – 9 (3 had them as standouts).
The highly favoured Sea Eagles had their annual trip to Mudgee and met a determined Knights team. 90 minutes of football couldn’t split them – 6 tries each and 32 all the final result. From a tippers perspective – 64 punters were WRONG (that’s all of us). 11 of those also lose 2 points because of the standout. But even if you could, who would have predicted a DRAW ?
The hot and cold Storm locked away their 3rd win of the season with a strong win over the Rabbits 18-10. It seems punters aren’t sure which Storm team will take the field. Only 10 tippers picked this one.
Oh …..and the Doggies just scraped in with a field goal in golden point to outdo the Cowboys 15 – 14 in their clash. (So for tippers it REALLY could have been worse had they lost too).

Big Baba has taken the lead (by 1 match) from Guru2810. MB moves up 6 places and into 3rd place on 28 points. But he only leads by differential from 4 others tippers also on 28.
I’ll say it again, no one has broken from the pack. A few good rounds (back-to-back) could see literally anyone leading this comp !!
