Again no real surprises this weekend and we bid farewell to the Roosters and the Eels. We are now left with 2 mouth-watering games next weekend, with 1 v 2, and 3 v 4 as they do battle for a place in the big one.
The Roosters failed to do what the Storm did last weekend – namely snuff out Turbo Tom. The Silvertails served up a try deficit of 7 – 1 in a game that should have been a lot closer. Expect Souths not to make the same mistake. If I was Wayne Bennett, I would sacrifice 1 player to target Tom in the first 10 minutes and simply take him out – ala Terry Lamb in the 1988 Balmain vs Canterbury GF, taking out Ellery Hanley with a late high shot. But of course that’s not allowed in todays world.
The Panthers held off the Eels 8 – 6 in a tough match. Having to face a refreshed Storm unit next weekend for a place in the Grand Final will be a challenge for them. With both games going as predicted, most tippers scored 2/2. Splinter still leads the table from Cruella in 2nd. Guru2810 moves into the $50 spot in 3rd place.
I expect some real movement next week and it could potentially seal the comp for 1 lucky tipper. My rationale ….. We are faced with 2 tough games. Picking both winners will be quite a challenge in itself. Nailing the margin will be critical. Because we have ……
- 18 tippers ALL on 5 wins and
- 17 of those tippers showing a 153 point differential
It will all come down to the most accurate margin.
