The Eels have proven to be the Storms nemesis this year. The Storm have only lost 3 games this season, and 2 have been at the hands of the Eels. The Eels also managed to stop them from breaking the 45 year record of the most consecutive wins (19) in a season, currently held by the Roosters 1975 team (a year that doesn’t exist for St George supporters). We had three clever desperate punters actually get this one right – Isha68 (70th place), Micrider (30th place) and AaronC (18th place) so it had no major impact to our leaderboard (LOL), but well done anyway.

Melbourne also have some concerns coming into the finals with key players Bromwich, Grant and Smith all on report. It wont matter much, they will bounce back and win the minor premiership AND probably the Premiership.  

Other big news was the ugly hit by Latrell Mitchell on Joey Manu. That hit leaves Latrell sitting on the sidelines for the next 6 weeks (and missing the finals), and leaves Manu having his face put back together. Have a read of Robs Rant – Bunnie Boiler for more (and better photos)

That’s not a giant wad of chewing gum stuffed in Manu’s cheek.

Main Competition – Ladder Leaders

Kane G maintain the lead (for the 8th straight week) but only by a bare 2 point differential from Big Baba who has worked his way back into contention for the top prize. Both punters are on 190 points. It seems that Rossco The Pom took my advice (Risk vs Reward) and banked on a roughie to win. Didn’t happen, he has slipped back to 3 place – but only 1 match behind.

2nd Chance Competition – Ladder Leaders

Kane G still leads the 2nd Chance comp too, and with a 32 point lead, seems to have it in the bag. Offside_Touchie leapfrogs Adel Messih and moves into 2nd place.  

Footy Tipper Weekly Jackpot

The prize pool jackpots to $80 for Round 25 AND MUST BE WON.

This will be awarded only if ONE player achieves a perfect round and has selected a Standout or ……. .

In the event there is no one single winner this week, ONE RANDOM tipper (who has submitted a tipsheet for Round 25) will win the prize money courtesy of a random draw.
