Cut-off Times for round 24 ..…
Thursday 26th August 2021 – Knights vs Titans 7:50pm AEST
Tips will not be accepted after this time.

The battle for a position in the top 4 continues.

The Roosters ;

• maintain their spot in 4th with a comfortable win over the Dragons 40 – 22, but will they hang on ?
• they are set to face Souths and the Raiders in the last 2 rounds. I’ll give them 1 out of the 2 and will finish on 34 points

Stinky Manly ;

• They face the Bulldogs and Cowboys – you can bank the 4 points now and probably with BIG margins. They too will end the comp proper on 34 points but with a superior for/against differential – they will take the 4th spot

Eels ;

• face 1 and 2 i.e. Storm and Panthers. They can look forward to finishing 6th.

The battle for a top 8 berth (and maybe 1 more game in 2021) sees 6 teams in the hunt.
I’ll get rid of the trash first ;

• Wests Tigers need 2 wins (and a prayer). They face the Panthers and the Dogs. Welcome to lockdown come September 5th boys.
• Dragons have the Cowboys and Souths. Saints couldn’t beat an egg.
• Warriors have the Raiders and Titans (both of which are also battling for 8th). Even if they manage 1 win, it wont be enough.
  The main contenders for 8th spot;
• The Sharks will face the Broncos and Storm. They will finish on 22 points but do have a good F/A record
• The Titans have the Knights and Warriors. Both games are winnable, but coming off back to back losses, they need a bit of luck. They will also finish on 22 points – they need 1 big win to help the F/A record
• The Raiders – they’ve got the Warriors and Roosters. Again, I will give them 1 win and finsih on 22 points with the Sharks.
  Summation – Sharks will prevail on a better for/against record.

The Standout

• 64 – that is EVERYONE got it right.      
• The average score – 8.73.
• Our round high was 12 – 10 punters managed that rare feat.   
• Our round low was 5

Main Competition – Ladder Leaders

With only 2 rounds to go (yay), and very little separating 1^st from 10^th, it will all come down to Risk vs Reward (……The Creators favourite saying at this time of the season – catch up with Robs Rant “Under Pressure” for more).

Risk vs Reward (Conservative vs Aggressive) – Kane G and Rossco the Pom still sit in 1^st and 2^nd. The problem here is they are separated by 47 differential points. If they tip the next 16 games the same (which they probably will – i.e conservatively) Kane G WILL prevail. Does Rossco take a punt on a roughie (aggressive) and go for the $800 ?

Big Baba was one of 10 players who picked the full card this week and he moves into 3^rd place. The top 10 is dominated by BIG MOVERS – Big Baba, Panthers29 and The Creator have all had back-to-back full cards in the last 2 rounds.

There is only 6 points between 1^st and 10^th.
