Here are your results for the weekend – but of course, you already know that.

NRL is over for me for 2021. I’m going back to laying on the lounge for the next 7 weeks or so, watching the Olympics and waiting for the cricket season to start.

I’m becoming increasingly bewildered by head contact rules, shoulder charges etc.

In the match that cost most of our punters getting a full card (snakes vs horn heads), we witnessed a blatant shoulder charge in the last minute of the match, preventing a match winning try to the Eels. As far as I’m concerned, Rampana made no effort to tackle Sivo with his arms. Yes – there was no contact with the head, but tell that to Mikaele Ravalawa who has been suspended twice this season for the same offence.

Don’t get me wrong, the Raiders deserved the win as they clearly outplayed the Eels for 79 minutes, but the inconsistency of rulings is peeving me NO END.

The other game that had punters split was the Dragons and Titans. Did the Dragon’s partying days come back to bite them ? Possibly, but probably not. They’re gone the Dragons. They have a tough run home and will not make the 8. They face the Rabbits, Raiders, Panthers and Roosters in their run home. (Time to start preparing for the next party).

Main Competition – Ladder Leaders

Kane G and 786Om still hold down 1^st and 2^nd places. Rossco the Pom (3^rd) and MR TAYLOR (4^th) have pushed Big Baba further down the ladder (the choke continues for him). The gap between 1^st and 10^th is still only 7 points.     

Special mention to gdadisho who jagged another full card (alas no cash this time though). He worked his way into the prize money and now sits in 7^th place.

Kane G still leads the 2^nd Chance comp by only by a mere 8 differential points to Defending Champion .

Adel Messih holds down 3^rd place, but is only 2 points clear of T-Bone in 4^th.
