Cut-off Times for this week…
Thursday 10th September 2020
Wests Tigers vs Rabbitohs 7:50pm AEST
Tips will not be accepted after this time.
Happy Father’s Day to all.
I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend with their family and all those awesome dad jokes.
Pablo is still celebrating his new found Grand Father’s Day so it has been a double celebration for him.
It also means I get a cameo this week so let’s kick off…
A spectacular send-off, a soft sin binning, an even softer and spectacular capitulation by none other than the Stinkies and a Golden Point victory.
This round had it all.
The 2nd Grand Final replay of the season saw the Roosters take the points 18 – 6. Calling this game the replay is pointless. No matter what the result, the Raiders still got dodgy calls in the GF and the Roosters still hold the trophy. This game also saw Josh Morris play his 300th match (finally beating brother Brett at something) and the the return of $Bill.
What a luxury the Roosters have being able to carry the Supreme Athlete and afford him 13 minutes of game play at $1650/min. I am sure supporters of the other 15 clubs must be happy for $onny and the Chook$.
In other games:
- Six again! The Broncos won. Just kidding, Last Tackle. Panthers fans may as well buy the Minor Premiers t-shirts now after their 25-12 victory over the Broncs. If there is ever a team needing a loss it is the Panthers. Otherwise to win the Competition, the Panthers will need to win 18 straight.
- The Knights showed the Sharks up as the fraud team in the top eight. Chad Townsend’s send off and Captain Wade Graham’s throw will see them missing the final games of the season. The Sharks will not win another match this year.
- Yakety Sax could be heard over the loud speakers at Fortress Lottoland as the Sea Eagles watched the Wests Tigers score three times in the final 10 minutes to pip Manly 34-32. This game was between two of the three teams out of finals contention that hasn’t sacked their coach. The Wests Tigers are determined to finish another successful season in their customary 9th place.
- The Storm defeated Souths 22-16… Titans beat the Bulldogs 18-14 and the Eels dented the Warriors finals chances winning 24-18.
- The Cowboys broke their 9 game losing streak kicking the winning field goal in Golden Point to down the Dragons 23-22.
The Standout
64 – got it right.
3 – got it wrong
The average score – was pretty high
Main Competition – Ladder Leaders
Risk v Reward. There are only three rounds remaining so time is running out if you plan to make a move.
Mary McGregor has had his lead cut by one but may as well put his feet up and start sipping Pina Coladas. The rest of the field should be nervous.
THREE ROUNDS TO GO!
Historical leaders
Aaron C and Chur_moi (Round 1)
Big Papi Productions (Round 4)
2nd Chance Competition – Ladder Leaders
We have a new leader – with Shagger and iTerry swapping places and Seano taking 3rd prize. For now.
I can guarantee this will not be the final positions after Round 20 so keep tipping.
A reminder, your score is based on what each of your selected teams score (win or lose). The sum total of the 8 games determines your overall score.
