- The 2019 Grand Final rematch between the Roosters and Raiders kicked off a great round of NRL on Friday night. The Raiders erased some of the disappointment of last years GF loss winning 24 – 20. (no doubt the 2019 trophy would have been better but….. ). Only 5 tippers got that one right !
- The Broncos have hit a new low. They were utterly destroyed by the Wests Tigers 48 – 0. They now sitting on 14th place. They have had more points scored against them than any other team in the comp. Anthony Seibold was stopped at the NSW / Queensland border on Friday night trying to flee the state. Police turned him around saying we have too many of your kind (losing coaches) in NSW already.
- The Panthers assume the lead of the NRL comp after a reasonably comfortable (and not unexpected) win over the Cowboys 22 – 10. The Cowboys did put up a good fight but were clearly outclassed in the end. With only 1 loss this season, the Panthers are looking very good in this year’s title chase.
- A late flurry of points from the Rabbits in the last 15 minutes of their match wasn’t good enough against the Knights who ultimately held on to win 20 – 18.
- The Storm smacked the Titans 42 – 6
- The Sharks did the same to the Warriors 46 – 10.
- The Dragons dodged a bullet against the Bulldogs. Down 22 – 10 with 15 minutes remaining, the Dragons scored 18 unanswered points to prevail 28 – 22.
The Big Upset
- No matter what they do, Stinky Manly continue to disappoint. This time they disappointed 1000’s of tippers across the country (including 67 out of 70 in our comp) by beating the Eels 22 – 18.
