We are still a couple more games away to understand the lay of the land for 2026. But some teams already pick themselves.

If you looked at the start of the season, this round starts with three blockbusters. Maybe not so now with the hot form of the Panthers and Storm.

Raiders v Bulldogs

This is a difficult start to the round. Neither team has been convincing.

The Raiders won in a golden point in round 1 then got towel up by the Warriors while the Bulldogs had that controversial golden point win over the Dragons before a Bye.

Last year the Raiders led the Dogs 20-nil at halftime only to be rundown 20-32.

Winner – Raiders

Friday Night Football

Sees the Roosters v Panthers and Storm v Broncos. Both games will be massive to watch. However, both the Panthers and Storm look way too good here.

Winner(s) – Panthers, Storm

Knights v Warriors

Both teams are undefeated and have been outstanding. The Knights have the homeground advantage but I can’t see them beating the Wah’s with star players Fletcher Sharpe, Dylan Brown and Kalyn Ponga all out injured.

Winner – Warriors

Other Games

The remainder of the round looks less convincing.

Sharks v Dolphins, Rabbitohs v Wests Tigers, Eels v Dragons and Cowboys v Titans.

I’ve picked purely on home ground advantage but any game could go either way.

You will do very well if you can find eight winners this week.
