Happy New Year Tipsters!

I am not wishing your summer away, but Footy Tipper has officially launched for 2026.

I’m sure everyone enjoyed Christmas/New Years, the sunshine and daylight savings. Well, the later excludes our cane-toad cousins north of the border.

The tell-tale signs the footy is about to start is the BBL and Superbowl.

The Perth Scorchers have already won the BBL (again) against the Sydney 6’ers (again), and we have the Patriots v Seahawks in the Superbowl on Monday morning the 9^th February.

But the NRL waits for no sport and will start the Witzer Pre-Season Challenge two days before the big show in the States.

The Witzer Pre-Season Challenge

Kicks-off with the Las Vegas bound teams playing in a double header at Jubilee Oval on the 7^th February.

If you want to see all the fringe players for the Dogs, Cows, Drags and Knights go around kick-off starts at 5:30pm AEDT.

The remaining teams will start their two trials the following week which includes the traditional Charity Shield match between the Dragons and Rabbitohs at WIN Stadium.

The only exception is the Premiers(x1) Brisbane Broncos who will attempt to go where the (not so all conquering) Cleary’s Panthers have failed to win during their four-year dynasty.

Win the World Club Championship.

The Broncos take on Hull KR 20^th February from MKM Stadium, Hull at 6:30am AEDT.

But we are not finished yet.

All Stars

15^th February will see the Maori v Indigenous teams play the Women’s and Men’s All Stars matches.

All matches will be live on FOXTEL, Kayo with some on free to air Channel 9 and 9Now.

All this before the season official kicks off Sunday 1^st March.
