It’s on again Wednesday @ 8:10pm, free to air and only on Channel 9, unless you’re at the ground.
This is going to be a cracker of a game, and series, between two very competitive teams.
NSW Blues
Yes, missing Tommy Turbo. Yes, missing Latrell Mitchell. Both would have played out of their regular fullback positions but we know what they can do.
But, what a great line-up with six players from the reigning Premiers, including Panthers halves Jarome Luai and Nathan Cleary.
The rest of the team pick themselves…
- Unless you are Jake Trbojevic, who starred as Manly captain this week, or
- Josh Addo-Carr, where playing for the wooden spooners doesn’t help your form.
QLD Maroons
What a backline!
- Kayln Ponga
- Young gun Selwyn Cobbo
- Val Holmes
- Dane Gagai
- Xavier Coates
- Cam Munster
- And the acrobat himself, DCE
That is a very scary line-up.
The rest?
I watch most matches each week, but I have to say there are some names I don’t recognise. I am sure they have been really good. I won’t name them here because the last thing I want is for Team Billy Slater to use this as motivation.
The Winner
I am a born, bred and proud New South Welshman.
Blues supporters have been starved of Origin with all games played in Qld last year, and, limited capacity the previous one.
This game will be played at Accor Stadium in Sydney in front of 80,000 Blues supporters.
Suncorp Stadium capacity is only 52,500! Maybe the Queensland Government should consider adding another tier.
To our friends north of the border, enjoy singing your “yippity, yippity, yippy, yip” anthem while we down south smile as we know why you spell beer XXXX.
Origin I Is On! NSW Blues by 8.
Enjoy all and go the Blues.

NSW had over 80,000 supporters to cheer them on and look what happened. Capitulated……….
What can I say QLD have 22 series wins over NSW 16. Its going to be 23.
I have nothing else except Good Luck NSW and its supporters and hope you have all your support around you to give you kisses and cuddles for the remaining games.
