Finals Series Week 1
They say you can’t win the NRL Premiership in March, but you can certainly lose it. The same can be said in this competition.

The Finals Series has nine games in total and this round will have almost half of them decided. This is truly the foundation round to set you up.

NRL Finals Series Venues Announced
Queensland rugby league fans have been rewarded with the entire Finals Series being played in the Sunshine State.
- Week 1 – We have a sell out at the Sunshine Coast Stadium for the Storm v Sea Eagles, a double header in North Queensland on Saturday, with week one concluding in Rockhampton
- Week 2 – Both … are being played in Mackay
- Week 3 – Preliminary Finals are both at Suncorp Stadium
- Week 4 – The one and only chance to watch an NRL Grand Final at Suncorp for the next 26 years
This is a great reward and acknowledgment of the support from Queensland and a big thank you from all of us south of the border.

Wails From Tiger Town II
There is a lot being said about the Wests Tigers during the week but nothing I didn’t state previously:

The Tigers are now conducting another season review. And in scenes that could be straight out of “This Is Spinal Tap”, the senior players are being canvassed for their opinion.
Most of these players have never played finals football. Their coach is an NRL premiership winner. The team’s performance against last place Bulldogs was disgraceful and stank of players kicking stones. I wonder who they will blame and what their recommendation will be?
Coach Maguire’s days are numbered. But seriously, who would want to coach there?
