SOO II – Maroons Win

The Maroons took advantage of the most dodgy half-time lead ever scoring two tries that were not tries.

It should have been Nil – Nil.

The next four tries? No comment.

The Maroons

They were expected to win, being favourites (what?), and win they did. What do they change?

Nothing.

The Blues

Nothing to see here in NSW. Everyone is a winner.

I am going back to the Fittler/Alexander selection policy.

Why did they select Tevita Pangai Jr and Nicko Hynes in Game 1 when they were rightly discarded?

And why would you pick any player from the Wests Tigers to replace Pangai Jr? Surely there is one prop forward in NSW better?

Fittler & Co. chose to emulate Queensland and select two hookers in Game 2 to switch out during the match.

Turbo goes down and immediately, the two hooker policy is thrown out with Damien Cook moved to centre.

Every NSWelsman, besides the coaching staff, knew Cam Murray being an edge forward was prime to play there.

I am not sure what grass Freddy has earthed himself in.

The Coaches

Billy Slater has been unearthed as the Saviour for Queensland. The new Maroon Dynasty. All on the back of winning two Origin series.

Well, Brad Fittler was also in the same boat. Winning the 1st two series and extended his winning ratio to three from four.

We won’t talk about the last few years.
