Paul Green’s demons, sadly, took the better of him. PG spent last week catching up with his old Sharkies teammates. His family and friends are devastated. I feel sorry for his teammates that they didn’t pickup on what was going on.
Please Tipsters, if your head is in bad place, reach out to a friend, partner, family member. Don’t bottle the demons up. We only get one shot at this.
What I remember of Paul Green is the hotted up sports car with the PG numberplate at Shark Park. And, one of my mates being terrified of him continually yelling out “watch him, watch him”.
I have always associated PG as a Sharks player and have forgotten he’d become a journeyman in the latter playing years.
What he will always be remembered for is being the coach of the North Queensland Cowboys’ first Premiership win in 2015.
