Season 2 Recap
In EP2 we left the Wests Tigers having a gung-ho celebration in Tiger Town after a couple one point wins and a plan to take out some vulnerable opposition.
But what happened?
- LOSS – Dragons 12 – 6
- LOSS – Sea Eagles 36 – 22
- LOSS – Cowboys 12 – 36
- WIN – Bulldogs 36 – 22
The Wests Tigers are now enjoying their week off with another review of their season and coaching staff. Six months after their last one.
The review is at the half-way mark of the 2022 season.
Based on last season’s results, teams need to win a minimum of ten games to play finals football. The Wests Tigers have won just three games meaning they need to win seven from their final twelve matches.
- For Wests Tigers fans? That will mean not watching your team play in the finals since 2011.
- Luke Brooks? A decade of no finals experience.
- Coach Maguire? The next coaching domino to fall. I predict this week.
The shining light is Adam Doueihi is due back sometime soon. He should partner Jackson Hastings in the halves. The Wests Tigers will have to mimic their Premiership winning team of 2005 to burst into the finals for a chance this season.
But I think it’s all too little too late.
