NRL Need To Revise Their Rule Changes

Watching the Panthers v Eels final has made me angry.

This is a real rant!

There was cheating by both sides but especially one team in the final stages of the match.

What I do know is, if you make rule changes, coaches will coach their players to take advantage of them.

The biggest rule change in Peter V’landys’ agile world has been the set restart.

Players are coached to slow the play, be offside, test the referee, regroup the defensive line. All when the ball is in the opponent’s quarter.

It is also no real advantage to the team trying to drive out of their own half and there will never be a professional foul sin-binning.

Simple fix…

Blow a penalty for any of these infringements that occur in the attacking team’s 40m. The team can always take a quick tap if they see an advantage.

Problem solved?

Like, comment or share to get this obvious in-balance fixed.
